I had an Elder leave a four minute message on my answering machine last week inviting me to the Zoom memorial. He said that Jehovah still cares for me. I never called him back. The less I say, the better I'm off.

Can I ask what country you are in? Because I’m interested when you say publishers need to make up time by contacting inactive ones.
I'm from Northern Illinois, U.S.A. My niece is a pioneer and has never called me in the 9 years I've been inactive. She called me to pad her pioneer hours. She told me that she mails letters and calls on the phone. No house to house in over one year. She has a list of return visits and either calls them or sends them a letter.
So, she called me to see how everyone is and also total the time she spent on the phone with me and add them to her monthly pioneer hours.

So are you going to the memorial?
I think I'm going to listen in. I had an Elder a couple of days ago invite me to the Zoom Memorial. He left a four minute message about how Jehovah hasn't given up on me and that my congregation misses me in this difficult year. I'm not calling him back, but will get the password from my family. The radar is on all the irregular attending witnesses because they need to fill in their service hours with letters and phone calls.

This week my brother, his daughter and his son all called me to invite me for the next weeks Memorial and also my nephew's first Sunday talk, which he gave today at noon. I told my nephew that I would watch his first talk. He gives me the user I.D. and password.
I downloaded Zoom and got in with no problem. You had a choice of being seen on camera or not. I chose not to be seen. There were 120 members on the Zoom meeting. Some chose to appear on camera and many chose not to be seen. They were all greeting each other. The Elder announced that you needed to shut your audio off so there would be no distractions. There was a song and a prayer.
I chose to have a split screen and watch all the members who chose to show their face. Everyone was dressed as if they were at a regular Kingdom Hall meeting. You could see everyone in their kitchens, dining rooms and family rooms. Some looked bored, some were nodding off for a few seconds and some were motionless. I don't know why anyone would show their face and have every movement shown on camera.
My nephew gave a very nice talk about Matthew 13, where a fine pearl was found for its value and how it was treasured. A talk I've heard a hundred times. Nothing that was said was ground breaking or new.
Everyone clapped at the ending of the talk. The Watchtower conductor started his spiel about staying for the Watchtower Study. I decided to log off.

What is the most insensitive thing an Overseer or Elder has ever said and done to you?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inwhat is the most insensitive thing an overseer or elder has ever said and done to you?
i have had many insensitive things said to me by some elders, but for some reason one self-righteous elder was always on my case.
he didn't like the fact that i missed meetings, didn't like that i never went out in field service, that i didn't answer at the weekly meetings and he didn't like that i carried my books and magazines in my hands and not a service/book bag.

I wasn't hurt by what they said as I was expecting nothing else from them anyways. I was so used to being double face with them that I actually said thank you for coming and right after they left, called my mother. And yet, to this day, I still regret not confronting them about their inhuman intervention/ I should have thrown them out of my place.
I regret not confronting the Elder who was pretty nasty to me. There were many times I should have thrown a punch at him, times I should have called him out and times I should of thrown him out of my house.
This Elder was a self-righteous bastard, who always had to impress the District and Circuit Overseers when they paid their biannual visits. He would avoid talking to me or even shaking my hand at our Kingdom Hall. He always brought over the Overseers to my house to show how much concern he had for the lost sheep. He tells me during one visit in my home, ''how much he loves me and hopes that I take their advice on showing up at the meetings more often and to start back in field service.'' I should have called him on it to the Overseers but didn't.

Here is a conversation that I had where his self-righteousness came out. I was talking to my mom after the meeting and he jumps into the conversation:
My Mom: ''Are you coming over today so we can see the Kids?''
Me : ''Yes! We will come over later today.''
Here comes self-righteous Elder to bother me as usual:
Elder to my mom: ''How are you feeling?''
My Mom : '' Well, you know I have a lot of health issues. I wish my health was as good as my son's.''
Elder to my Mom: ''Well, he may be physically healthier than you but not '' spiritually'' healthier than you.''
He walks away.

Strange midweek meeting '' initial call '' demonstration
by RULES & REGULATIONS incan it get any weirder?
here is a demonstration of a midweek meeting demonstration, showing a sister out in field service talking to a householder.
they are both wearing masks due to covid.

I got the impression that this is not formal field service but informally seeing someone wearing a mask and commending her for that.
From what I watched, this looks like a formal field service visit. Notice what the elder says before introducing the sister's demonstration:

Can it get any weirder? Here is a demonstration of a midweek meeting demonstration, showing a sister out in field service talking to a householder. They are both wearing masks due to COVID.
What country is letting Jehovah's Witnesses preach house to house during COVID? How can anyone understand what they are saying talking through a mask? The sister shows the householder a minute and a half video about the Jehovah's Witnesses. The householder gives the sister her phone number so she can talk further about Jehovah.
I sat through many unrealistic demonstrations, but this one really takes the cake!
